Recruiting new businesses is an ongoing process in every town, whether there is a large inventory of available buildings or occasional business turnover from retirements and market changes. In this one day interactive seminar you will learn how to make your town more competitive, develop the tools to find prospects and close the deal. Experts in the field will answer these questions:

  • What are businesses looking for?
  • What information do you need and where do you find it?
  • What should be in a recruitment package?
  • How can you work with building owners to fill buildings?
  • Where can you find prospects?
  • What incentives can you offer?

The seminar will be led by:
Joe Decepida, Project Manager, PGAV Planners, St. Louis, MO. Joe brings expertise in the public sector role in encouraging retail development. His experience includes working with the City of St. Louis Economic Development Agency as a Retail Development Specialist as well as providing consulting services to smaller communities.

John Kohler, President and CEO, Kohler & Associates, Lombard, IL. John is an expert in franchise sales and real estate development. His company has placed over 100 franchises in Illinois, Michigan and Missouri.
